Tracie Ahern – Principal
Tracie is a seasoned financial executive with over 26 years in the investment management industry, including 10 years of CFO experience with alternative and long only funds. She served as the CFO for Soros Fund Management from 2007-2015, where she managed the Treasury, Operations, Fund Administration and Management Company finances and served as an interested director on numerous boards for Quantum Fund related entities. Also at SFM Tracie chaired the Valuation Committee and participated as a member of the firm’s Management, Capital Allocation and Risk, Brokerage and Retirement Committees. Prior to SFM, Tracie served as the Vice President of Capital Markets Accounting for Freddie Mac, overseeing the financial reporting for over $800 billion of mortgage bonds and loans and $1 Trillion of derivative assets. She was a Partner and Director of Fund Administration and Operations at Lord, Abbett & Co. a mutual fund and long only institutional manger with over $100 billion of AUM, from 1999-2005. Prior to that, Tracie had numerous tax, compliance and fund administration roles at Deutsche Bank (Bankers Trust and Morgan Grenfell) and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. She was also the COO/CFO of Brightwood Capital, a direct lending investment management firm. She received her CPA while working for Price Waterhouse in 1993.
Tracie has served on the National Foundation and Corporate Boards of the Human Rights Campaign, as well as DC Scores, a literacy and athletic afterschool program for inner city children in Washington DC. Tracie received her MBA in Finance and International Business from the Stern School of Business at New York, University in 1998 and her BS in Accounting from Manhattan College in 1990. Tracie is based in New York.
